Carefully curated and beautifully packaged, it’s the perfect gift for loved ones or a treat for yourself, whilst supporting the skilful and hard-working producers in Palestine. Inside the hamper you will find:
Zeini, Taybeh Winery, 2024, Palestine
Produced by the iconic Taybeh winery from a unique native grape, Zeini that is hand harvested from the Hebron hills. The crisp palate leads with crunchy notes of green apple and conference pear, lemon pith and lemon balm. Lively minerality defines a long and refreshing finish. Its bold acidity due to its unique character as an indigenous variety makes this wine refreshing and light. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks preserves all the delicate and fresh characteristics.
Doer, Ashkar Winery, 2021, Galilee Highlands
This flagship blend is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz hand picked from the best vineyards around the Iqrit village, the ancestral home to the Ashkar family in Upper Galilee.
The name ‘Doér’ refers to the ruins in Iqrit and it comes from the Arabic word ‘Daera’
meaning “circle”, because of the circular shape of the ruins.
Each parcel is carefully vinified and aged separately for around 2 years in predominately French oak
barrels and a further 1 year after assemblage. The resulting blend is well balanced with complex flavours of black cherries and forest fruit, spicy tobacco leaf and earthy mineral verve.
Elegant tannins elevate the journey of senses and leave the palate with satisfying feeling of
complete experience.
Nadim Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Reserve, Taybeh Winery , 2018, Palestine
The Nadim Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Reserve is a very special cuvee made from grapes grown in the Aboud Vineyards, located at the entrance of the village at elevations around 800 meters (2,600 feet) above sea level.
This is an elegant style of Cabernet Sauvignon with layers of complexity that unravels slowly.
Notes of blackcurrants and dark forest fruit with tobacco leaf are woven with sweet character from French oak where wine is aged for up to 23 months.
The 2018 vintage is drinking beautifully now and can be cellared easily for another 10-15 years. Balanced and long, chewy tannins with cedar character and hint of cured olives gives this wine a very special character.
Aida, Jascala Winery, 2011, Galilee Highlands
Made only in the best years from a handpick Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc
with quantities ranging from 400 to 1000 bottles only, makes it a very rare find.
Each variety is vinified separately and aged for 18 months in French oak before blending and aging for further 6 months in oak to integrate the blend. Lush notes of black currant and sweet raspberry jam, cherries and plums with secondary notes of cured black olives, cocoa nibs and warm spices with wild herbs create a complex and bold experience. Long chewy tannins and hint of saddle adding extra dimension to long and persistent finish.
