akub Gift Hamper – Native Grapes : Grapes of Palestine
A true celebration of Palestinian culture, craft, and history, the akub Native Grapes: Grapes of Palestine contains an array of products from Bethlehem and beyond. Carefully curated and beautifully packaged, it’s the perfect gift for loved ones or a treat for yourself, whilst supporting the skilful and hard-working producers in Palestine. Inside the hamper you will find:
Zeini, Nadim, Taybeh Winery, 2024, Palestine:
Zeini is a native Palestinian grape hand picked from the high altitude vineyards in the northern part of Hebron and fermented in a stainless steel tank. The result is a light and crisp wine with delicious notes of green apple and conference pear, lemon pith and lemon balm.
Rose, Cremisan Winery, 2023, Palestine:
This soft and savoury rose is made from indigenous Palestinian grape Baladi Aswad (black), cultivated mainly in the Cremisan valley and the Hebron area. Summer blossom, peach and strawberry are the main notes with a touch of local herbs enhancing the light body and lively acidity.
Baladi, Cremisan Winery, 2022, Palestine:
The red local grape Baladi thrives in the vineyards of the Cremisan Monastery terraced at 850 m above sea level giving just enough yield for commercial use in the winery.
This unique red wine is soft and light with juicy aromas of berries and baking spice. Balanced acidity and earthy minerality contribute to the length and vibrancy of this delicious cuvee.
We like to serve it at a cooler temperature, around 16 C, to accentuate the structure.
